Eastern’s cargo in transit NOT impacted by Midwest floods

Despite the relentlessly heavy rains these past few weeks—and flooding in many areas of the midwest—Eastern is happy to report that our cargo currently in transit has not been delayed by weather.
On May 27, Nick Austin, Director of Weather Analytics and Senior Meteorologist at FreightWaves, reported that flooding from severe weather had affected parts of the BNSF network in the central and southern Great Plains. Repeated heavy rain and storms had caused track outages on several subdivisions in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
