U.S. Extends Suspension of Additional Tariffs on Chinese Imports Until November 2025

On August 11, 2025, the White House published an executive order in which the President extended the suspension of additional tariffs on imports from China until November 10, 2025. The suspension, first enacted in May 2025, supports ongoing trade negotiations during which China has taken steps to improve trade reciprocity and address U.S. economic and national security concerns. Federal agencies are directed to implement the extension in accordance with applicable law.
